Premiumwanderweg Herzog-Jäger-Pfad
Natural trails, varied woodland landscapes, picturesque meadows and streams, almost forgotten hollow paths and surprising views, meadows and fields. This is what the "Herzog-Jäger-Pfad", signposted with the support of the Verband Region Stuttgart, offers both ambitious hikers and families with children. It passes through the Schönbuch Nature Park and the Schaichtal nature reserve, among other places. Interesting information boards, interactive stations and dream loungers in the middle of the forest make the excursion something special. Those interested in culture will not miss out either: there are remains of Celtic and Roman settlements along the route. The guided tour by the fictional person of Duke Friedrich I and his dog Friedl provides a particularly interesting insight. The two explain, for example, the Schaichtal nature reserve, the flora and fauna habitat and the bird sanctuary along the hiking trail.
