Obstroute

Extensive orchards, streams and woodland characterize the landscape along the 50-kilometre route. Views of the Filstal valley and the three imperial mountains of Hohenstaufen, Rechberg and Stuifen, as well as the Albtrauf, open up time and again. There are several themed trails along the route, such as the fruit nature trails in Schlat, Schlierbach and Dürnau-Gammelshausen as well as the bird protection information trail in Hattenhofen. The family-friendly route can be cycled in both directions without any significant gradients and is integrated into the state cycle path network via the Alb-Neckar Cycle Path and the Swabian Alb Path.

The Verband Region Stuttgart has improved the quality of life along the route at various points through its co-financing program. The local lake in Schlierbach is ideal for a break. You can also relax in the Oskar-Moritz-Park in Salach or at the Filsbogen in Süßen. Cyclists can continue their education during a break on the Benzenreute circular trail, the Schlater Wald forest activity trail, the Eschenbach legend trail or the wild rose nature trail in Eschenbach.
