Neckartalradweg
The Neckar Valley Cycle Route is one of the most interesting and varied cycle routes in Baden-Württemberg. The ADFC quality cycle route with four stars stretches almost 400 kilometers through the state, of which almost 100 kilometers run through the Stuttgart region. The Neckar valley in the region is characterized by three landscapes: orchards from Neckartenzlingen to Plochingen, an industrial area around Stuttgart from Plochingen to Ludwigsburg and the Neckar bends with steep, terraced vineyards from Ludwigsburg to Kirchheim/Neckar.
The cycle route can easily be divided into several sections. It is also almost completely without gradients, so that many kilometers can be completed in one go. Countless rest areas and playgrounds make the Neckar Valley cycle path in the Stuttgart region particularly family-friendly. Among other things, it also passes Stuttgart's Max-Eyth-See lake.
The Verband Region Stuttgart has provided plenty of variety along the route by promoting numerous places to stop along the banks of the Neckar: whether various places to stop in Esslingen, the Neckar beach in Remseck am Neckar, the landing stage in Fellbach, the Zug- und Uferwiesen in Ludwigsburg, the Neckaraue Marbach or the Uferplatz in Mundelsheim.
