Flowtrail Urbach

A route for the brave: a flow trail with two sections awaits cyclists on the 14-kilometre loop in Urbach. The first part begins flat and then leads more steeply downhill with a few bends. The second part is a narrow, rooty natural trail, which leads downhill at a rapid pace and you should already be experienced on a bike or mountain bike.

In total, the circular route covers over 400 meters in altitude through the Gutenau valley and the beautifully situated Bärenbach valley. The route is aimed at ambitious cyclists (riding time approx. one hour) as well as families with children (riding time approx. one and a half hours).

Figures / Data / Facts

  • Thanks to the voluntary commitment of the DAV, the trail is regularly inspected and maintained.
  • The flow trail can be used free of charge. All you need is a helmet and a mountain bike - plus the necessary skills.
  • The professionally built trail is intended to create a legal offer for the growing demand for mountain bike trails.
  • The VRS has funded the project with 21,250 euros.
  • The trail should not be used in wet weather to avoid damage.

Arrival

The route is directly connected to the regional cycle path network (Remstal cycle route and Wieslauftal circular route) and is easily accessible by public transport. From Urbach train station, where the Metropolexpress also stops, you can cycle to the start of the route at the Urbach market square in just a few minutes.
